This documentation forgot to mention that you can also choose "File/Tools/User
ID/Basics" and enable the "Don't prompt for password from other Notes-based
programs" in your Notes Client. That will get rid of the password prompt when
using a user.id with a password from a Notes C/C++ API program. If you can't
clear the password in your user.id, you can ask the certifier of your
organization to create a password free notes.id for your which you use only for
running background agents. It is not very advisable to use people's user.id's
for running agents, because people change, their roles change, and each time
you have to remember to check the rights for running the agents.
