Notes/Domino 4 and 5 Forum

Okay, this is odd.

For various reasons, our company has been forced to stay on Notes 5.0.13.

We are, however, upgrading to Office 2010. The problem arises when an e-mail has attachments with the new extensions, such as .xlsx or .docx

Some users can open these attachments fine, others receive an error of "sorry an application to open this document cannot be found".

This does not seem to be OS specific, as I have an XP and a Win 7 machine that it works fine on and other XP machines that it does not work on.

Any suggestions or solutions anyone could recommend would be greatly appreciated.
