Notes/Domino 4 and 5 Forum

Hello,

I just wanted to ask anyone regarding this problem. We have a database with a size of 4GB (that is almost full). We deleted half of the documents, then compacted the database. After doing those things, we checked the size and the size significantly increases.

Is it normal for a Notes database to increase significantly in terms of size although the documents have been deleted, and the database has been compacted? If yes how can we avoid it or somewhat reduce the size incretion.

Any quick response from this is much appreciated
