We are getting ready to upgrade from 4.6x to 5x, and one of our problems is that our users have many different types of pcs, and many different configurations.
We don't yet have SMS or any other auditing tool, and not a reliable inventory to know what types of machines, RAM, avail disk space, etc. our users have.
Would like to know if it would be possible to write a button to send in a notes memo that when clicked could grab some of this information off the user's computer? Has anyone ever done this before? Know if it's possible? Have sample code, etc? Will be upgrading in August.
