Notes/Domino 4 and 5 Forum

I have a field that doesn't refresh until the document is in edit mode but the document is locked down if the user isn't in the correct group. I still need to be able to refresh the field when the document is opened regardless of whether it is in edit mode or not. Is there a way to do this?
