If push come to shove, then I recommend you remove the hide-when formula completely, save the form, reopen the form, and then reenter the hide-when code. If this still doesn't work, try removing the field completely, remove the hide-when formula (remember hide-whens are paragraph attributes), save & close, reopen, recreate.
