Notes/Domino 4 and 5 Forum

I think this one is tied to my earlier posted problem, but maybe not.

I am creating an email based on information supplied by the user in a form. All the code is in the Click event behind a Send button.

Now, when I create and send a normal Notes memo, it sends fine through both types of server: Domino or Direct to Internet. However, when I create the mail message, and set the Form to 'Memo' it will only send via a Domino server, and gnashes its teeth at me if I try to send Direct to Internet.

Am I failing to set a needed field, and if so, which one and to what? Currently, the only fields I'm setting are:

SendTo
Form
Subject
Body
PostedDate

This code works perfectly in R5, but seems to have a problem in R4.6. Obviously it's developer error, so could someone help me out of my idiocy please? :-)
