Notes/Domino 4 and 5 Forum

We are having a problem that maybe someone can shed some light on for me.
We have remote user's who replicate their mail databases. When they send mail, and keep a copy, the mail in their "sent mail" box is marked unread (red) as if they haven't read it. Some users are also experiencing that when they read mail in their inbox is goes black (read) and then they notice a short time later it is red (unread) again. If I point them directly at the server to read mail everything works fine. It seems to be something with the replication. I have tried recreating their replicas but it doesn't seem to make any difference. The other odd thing I have noticed is on the ones I have re-replicated there sent mail is red (unread) but if I get out of there mailbox and get back in it is black (read) again.

I have search through various forums and can't find anything that help with my issues.

Any help or ideas is appreciated.
