IBM has announced the retirement of the R5 Exams in November 2004:
From CLP Clippings:
"R5 Exams to Be Retired on November 30, 2004"
On November 30, 2004, all Notes and Domino Release 5 exams will be retired. This means that Notes and Domino R5 exams will not be available after this date. If you were thinking about completing or getting your R5 certification, now is the time to do it. Many people ask if they should get R5 certified, and for most people the answer is yes. Think
about it: if you take the R5 exams (there's a total of three exams required for the professional level certification) and then take one additional Notes and Domino 6 Update exam (either the Notes Domino 6 Application Development Update or the Notes Domino 6 System
Administration Update), then you'll have two certification titles under your belt.
And remember that we never take away a certification title, so once you
become R5 certified you always have that distinction. However, once we retire the exams the option to get certified in R5 is removed and never brought back.
