Cancel following or attending a community event instance

To cancel following or attending a community event instance, use the HTTP DELETE method.

Notice: if the user follows or attends a community event whole series, the user could only cancel following or attending the whole series. We do not support canceling following or attending a specified instance after the user has followed or attended the whole series.

Request parameters

You can use one or more of the input parameters to specify the event (or instance) that you want to operate on, and the type of your operation (cancel following or attending) that you want to make. Separate multiple parameters with an ampersand (&).

DELETE /communities/calendar/atom/follow Value of the href attribute of the <link rel="http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/sn/calendar/event/attend: follow"> element of each entry in the community event (instance) feed.

string Yes The uuid of event instance that you want to follow or attend. You must specify either at least an "eventInstUuid" parameter or an "eventUuid" parameter.
eventUuid
string Yes The uuid of event that you want to follow or attend. You must specify either at least an "eventInstUuid" parameter or an "eventUuid" parameter.
type
enumerated No Mandatory parameter, must be "attend" or "follow".
Authorized values:
  • attend
  • follow

Code Description

Indicates that the community event following or attending was successfully cancelled. If an error occurs, this header will contain one of the error codes below.
400
Bad Request.
401
Unauthorized.
403
Forbidden.
404
Not Found.
