Provides general member information for the profile including userid and user state, which identifies whether the person is an active or inactive user. isExternal is available since Connections version 5.0. It identifies whether a user is an external user/visitor or not. The data in the <contributor> element is ignored for update actions.

Note: In a Connections Cloud environment, 'isExternal' is set to 'false' for all users. Also, in such environment, 'email' is not exposed. Therefore, element is not available in such environment.
