Using the Atom Publishing Protocol, also known as AtomPub, you can update your status message, and see the responses that other people have added regarding your status as well as retrieve other people's status messages.
Retrieving status messages
DEPRECATED: Programmatically retrieve a status message posted to a message board.

Updating a status message
DEPRECATED: To update a status message, send an updated status document in Atom format using an HTTP PUT request.

Clearing the current status message
DEPRECATED: To clear the current status message, and replace it with an empty string, use the HTTP DELETE method.

Deleting a status message
DEPRECATED: To delete a status message, use the HTTP DELETE method.
