Mail in databases not supported in either service only environment or hybrid

Hi Kendra.

I totally understand why this is not supported for service only. Could you elaborate more on the hybrid case ?

In theory we could put the databases in on-premise server and since Domino Directory entry is replicated across to SmartCloud servers, those mail-in addresses should be valid. This is how you handle booking on room / resources on the hybrid system (Resource Reservation database must be placed in on-premise server), right ?

Re: Administration differences between the SmartCloud Notes service and on-premises Domino

Hi Graham. I added info stating that neither environment supports mail-in bases in the service. I'm not sure I understand your other two questions. Can you clarify?

Mail-in databases in the SmartCloud Notes service

Can a mail-in database be created in a Service-only environment?

What are the addressing restrictions?

What are licencing implications?
