What are integrated apps

An integrated app provides additional functionality in LotusLive, or it provides LotusLive integration in another Web-based application. Before an integrated app is available to LotusLive users, an administrator or the owner of a LotusLive account must enable the app for user accounts.

Enabling integrated apps for user accounts

An administrator or account owner can perform the following steps.

To enable all current users with the LotusLive account:

    1. Log in to LotusLive, and click Administration in the bar at the top.
    2. Click Integrated Apps in the menu.
    3. Look for the Skype entry and click Enable.
    4. Click Enable for All Current Users.

To enable an individual user account only:

    1. Log in to LotusLive, and click Administration in the bar at the top.
    2. Click Integrated Apps in the menu.
    3. Look for the Skype entry and click Enable.
    4. Select the setting for an individual user, and click OK.
    5. Go to User Accounts and locate the user.
    6. Click the drop-down arrow beside the user name, and select Edit User Account.
    7. In the Integrated Apps section, select the Skype check box.

An example of the Integrated Apps panel is shown below.

Hints and tips

Remember the following hints and tips:

  • An e-mail is sent to a user account each time an app is enabled. The e-mail contains a return address of the administrator or account owner who enabled the app.
  • Each time an app is enabled, the user must log in and accept the terms of use before the integration appears.
  • Additional configuration might be required for each app before the integration appears. For details, refer to the documentation related to the integrated app.
