Reporting spam to IBM in a service-only environment

If you use a service-only environment, the service filters spam that is mailed to users in the service. However, if you think that a user received spam, use the following procedure to report it. |
If you use a service-only environment, the service filters spam received from the Internet. However, if you think that a has user received spam, use the following procedure to report it.
About this task
- Report spam to help reduce its occurrence in the future.
- The service does not treat newsletters, event invitations, or anti-spam quarantine reports as spam.
- Do not report spam if you use a hybrid environment. In a hybrid environment, customers are responsible for managing on-premises spam filtering on incoming Internet mail that is routed to users in the service.
To report spam in a service-only environment, perform the following procedure.
Procedure
- Perform one of the following steps to save the spam message as an .eml file:
- From the web client, select the spam message, click More -> Show MIME Full, select all, copy the entire contents to a text file, and save the file with the extension .eml.
- From Lotus Notes®, drag the spam message to the desktop. The message is automatically saved as an .eml file.
- Attach the .eml file to a new message.
- Mail the new message to one of the following addresses:
- If you want to receive a confirmation email from the service, send the message to spam.smartcloud.feedback@kassel.ibm.com
- If you do not want to receive a confirmation email, send the message to spam@kassel.ibm.com
