There are specific criteria used to identify accounts used for sending spam messages:
- E-mail metrics (for example, bouncebacks)
- Volume of complaints received from recipients or marked as 'spam' by the recipient
If an account is suspected of sending spam messages, the account is suspended and the account owner is notified. The SmartCloud iNotes team investigates the account to determine if it has been hacked or compromised.
