A guide for Administrators to clearly understand the privacy settings of their company's custom profile fields
 
Custom fields are additional information fields that may be created for each company user's profile.
The Company Administrator creates custom fields in the LotusLive Administration console.
Log in an as Administrator and go to Administration > Profile Customization

The Administrator creates the new information field and sets the privacy for each field.
 
Public Visible
    Anyone who can see the user's profile, can see the custom field and value.

LotusLive users
    Only registered LotusLive users can see the custom field and value.

Same Org users
    Only other employees of this organisation can see the custom field and value.

Network Contacts
    Org users and network contacts can see the custom field and value.
 
When the company users are editing their profile, they can complete the information for the new custom fields.
The new fields may be completed optionally, they are not required fields.

What do unauthenticated users see of my profile ?
If you choose to have your profile searchable in the LotusLive Directory options, only the "Public Visible" field is displayed:

If your profile is set to be not searchable in the LotusLive Directory options, other unauthenticated users are not authorised to view any part of your profile including the custom fields.


What do other LotusLive users see if my profile is searchable in the LotusLive Directory options?


If your profile is set to be searchable in the LotusLive Directory options,  they can see the Public Visible and LotusLive users privacy fields:

If your profile is set to be not searchable in the LotusLive Directory options, other LotusLive users are not authorised to view any part of your profile including the custom fields.
 
 
What do my company colleagues see?

They can view the four custom fields with the privacy settings of Public Visible, LotusLive users, Same Org users and Network Contacts

What can my network contacts see?

Your network contacts can view the three custom fields with the privacy settings of Public Visible, LotusLive users and Network Contacts.
