Generic Containers and Utilities -- This article describes how to download and install new features for Lotus Expeditor 6.2 and Lotus Notes 8.5 that build on the capability in Composite Applications known as generic containers. A container provides a simplified way for an application assembler to create components from existing assets - Notes Views, Symphony Documents, Host on Demand (terminal / 5250), Web Pages, and more. Alternatively you can think of a container as a template for generating a component, whereby the container is used to dynamically configure the asset and then add that asset as a component in the palette of the Composite Application Editor.
In addition the Catalog preview feature allows the Composite Application Editor to open the Widget Catalog, similar to My Widgets, to share and publish components.
