Technote: Composite Application Editor and Lotus Notes hangs when switchng Notes User ID

Problem abstract: When switching the Notes user ID while Composite Application Editor is open, Lotus Notes window may hang and unable to respond.
Details: The problem can be reproduced with the following sample scenario:

1. Open mail db as user one. Click menu Action/Edit Application. The mail view opens in the Composite Application Editor Window.
2. Go back to the Lotus Notes Window. Click File --> Security --> Switch ID.... Supply userid/password for the user two.
3. The "Composite Application Editor" dialog gets the focus and asks the user to confirm to Save the open application in the editor, Click Yes to save the application.
4. Notes window hangs during the save operation.

Resolving the Problem:

This problem can be avoided by closing the Composite Application Editor first and then switching the user ID.
