To make use of types, properties and actions in a WSDL file, within your Notes application, you must store a copy of the WSDL file within the IBM Lotus Notes database. To do this, open the database in Domino Designer and navigate to Composite Applications-Wiring Properties. (left panel).
Use the "Import WSDL" action to select the WSDL file from disk and create a "Composite Wiring Properties" design element. This design element can be stored and inherited from templates, or protected from template refresh, just like any other type of IBM Lotus Notes design element.
The design element name/alias is only used for your information, and for matching with a template during a design refresh/replace. You do not need to refer to the design element by name anywhere else in your application. If you import multiple WSDLs, the types, properties and actions in all of them are available to use in your NSF components, provided the names in each of them are unique. This is used in case you have inherited a WSDL from a template, and wish to continue to receive design updates from the template while also extending the application with your own properties and actions.
If you are updating or editing an existing WSDL file, you need to refresh the existing Wiring Properties design element to update it with your changes. Refer to the topic "Updating or refreshing an edited WSDL file in Domino Designer
" for more information on refreshing and updating your Wiring Properties design element.
