The architecture of composite applications supports the reuse of components. For example, as IBM Lotus Notes mail files are composite applications "out-of-the-box", they can be extended with additional Notes components or Eclipse components. The inter-component communication supported by the property broker API in Lotus Notes can also be used with:
- Lotus Notes Mail design
- Lotus Notes Calendar design
- Lotus Notes Contacts design
For example, you can publish properties when the selection in your Mail Inbox changes and new message forms can be opened and triggered by other components.
For more information about the property broker and various ways to create and use composite applications, refer to the rest of the Composite Application information found in this wiki.
