Developers have little control over the toolbars
in Lotus Notes. In Lotus Notes 8, the toolbars that are on by default have
been changed so that none of the static toolbars are on; only the context-sensitive
toolbars are on. The context-sensitive toolbars for the client (not including
Domino Designer or the Administration client) are:
- Document in read mode
- Document in edit mode
Several buttons have been added to the context-sensitive
toolbars; specifically, Cut, Copy, and Paste have been added to the
context-sensitive document-editing toolbar. Most business end-users should
not need to turn on the static toolbars. If you deployed any custom toolbars,
those toolbars are retained.
Note that Lotus Notes applications generally
make use of action bars rather than the toolbar.
