For operations that transmit data to the server, such as POST, PUT and PATCH, specify a request body in JSON format. With the calendar service, you can also POST and PUT data in iCalendar format.
See Receiving a response body for the formatting rules. In general, you can copy and paste from a GET response body to form a request body.

This sample POST request adds a document to a database:
