Configuring a shared data folderAdded by IBM on September 23, 2013 | Version 1 (Original)
|For a networked, multi-node configuration, there must be a shared space between the nodes that are running IBM® Docs, the Document Format Conversion server, and the File Viewer service. This space is used as a data store for IBM Docs and File Viewer, and exchanges the conversion results with the IBM conversion component.
About this task
For different physical nodes between IBM
Docs, File Viewer, and the IBM
conversion components, IBM
Docs uses NFS to share data. Usually the NAS or an NFS server (Linux™) hosts the NFS server side, and the IBM
Docs server and IBM
conversion server (Windows™) are NFS clients. File Viewer can also be NFS client.
In a clustered environment, you must configure an NFS server side, and all other nodes must point to this NFS server.
Complete the following procedures to configure the shared data folder.
