You can use the Copy and Paste commands on the Web Clipboard icon to copy data or images within a spreadsheet, including between different sheet tabs, and between spreadsheets. The Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V keys also work within a spreadsheet; however, do not try to mix the two methods. For example, it does not work to use the Web Clipboard to copy and then Ctrl+V to paste.
To use the Web Clipboard:
- Select the cell, range, or image from which you want to copy data to a different spreadsheet.
Tip: If a range you select contains an image, only the data will be copied. To copy both the data and image, you must perform these steps first on the range and then on the image.
- On the toolbar, click the Web Clipboard icon and click Copy from the list. and click Copy from the list.
- Click the location where you want to paste the data or image.
- Click the Web Clipboard icon again and click Paste from the list.
In some environments, you cannot paste between spreadsheets if the spreadsheet you are pasting to is in a different browser than the original spreadsheet. Contact you administrator for more information.
