Set tabs for categories and articles

This wiki includes three tabs that allow you to create different landing points in the wiki.

What is this?


The wiki has three predefined tabs in the banner area.
  • Home
  • Product Documentation
  • Learning Center

Categories and articles can be set to any one of these tabs by selecting the appropriate Content Type in Notes.

Categories


By default all categories have a Content Type of Other or null which displays the category on the Home tab.

To change the tab, modify the Content Type for the category. Follow these steps:
  1. Open the Notes client.
  2. Go to Advanced > Content Categories.
  3. Open and edit the category you want to change.
  4. Set Content Type as follows:
    • Select Product Documentation for the category to appear on the Product Documentation tab
    • Select Learning for the category to appear on the Learning Center tab
    • Select Other for the category to appear on the Home tab
  5. Save the category and refresh the web page to see the tab change.

Articles


By default all articles have a Content Type of Default or null which displays the article on the Home tab.
The Content Type selection is only available in the Notes client so by default all new articles created on the web will display on the Home tab.

To change the tab, modify the Content Type for the article. Follow these steps:
  1. Open the Notes client.
  2. Open and edit the article you want to change.
  3. Set Content Type as follows:
    • Select Product Documentation for the category to appear on the Product Documentation tab
    • Select Learning for the category to appear on the Learning Center tab
    • Select Default for the category to appear on the Home tab
  4. Save the article and refresh the web page to see the tab change.

Using an agent to update Content type on all selected articles:
  1. In the Notes client, go to the Recently added by category view.
  2. Find and expand the category you created to see all the articles you created.
  3. Select all the articles in the category.
  4. Go to Actions > Change article content type
  5. Select Product Documentation and click OK.
