Browser setting via desktop policy: Notes/Domino 8.0.1

You do realize that the embedded browser for the standard client on windows will always be IE. The framework uses IEOOP.exe which is a tie in to IE for the embedded browser. Just open an embedded browser window and go to browserhawk.com for a demonstration. Now if there was only a way for force the embedded browser to be geko I wouldn't have to disable the embedded browser for all my clients.

Browser setting via desktop policy: Notes/Domino 8.0.1

hi Devang,

I am sorry to say that you did indeed find a problem. We are aware of it, and I have entered a bug report for it and we hope to fix it in 8.5 or 8.0.2 but I cannot at this moment say for sure.

The policy setting is for Notes Basic (e.g. not the java client). We do not yet have a policy setting for which browser to use if you are using the "standart" (Java) client.
