Re: Adding, changing, or deleting words in your user dictionary (for Spell Check)

I recently upgraded from Notes 8.5.1 to 8.5.3, and was very dismayed to find that my custom dictionary had been overwritten, and that it was no longer stored in user.dic (though it looks like even Notes 8.5.1 didn't use this!).

I'd backed up my entire notes directory, and after quite a lot of searching, I eventually found my old dictionary file here:

C:\notes\data\workspace\UDM\UserDictionary.xml

A simple copy and paste, and a restart of Notes, and all my words are back. Hope this helps someone.

Re: Adding, changing, or deleting words in your user dictionary (for Spell Check)

Where are the user spell check words saved. It used to be user.dic, but I do no longer see words there. I use 8.5.3. I want to know this to keep the personal spell checker words when moving to another machine

Adding, changing, or deleting words in your user dictionary (for Spell Check)

So no way to do a bulk load? I have a couple of users who deride the Lotus Notes Speller and wanted to load their own.

Thanks!
