Welcome to Installing Lotus Notes Traveler on an Apple device.
iPad home screen
Lotus Notes Traveler provides support for the Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad family of devices.

Although there is no client software to install, you still must create an Apple account on your device for mail, calendar, and contacts before you can connect to the Lotus Notes Traveler server.
iPad home screen
You can create this account automatically by installing an Apple profile. This method is recommended because the Apple profile can automatically supply default information such as your logon name and mail address.

Before you begin, make sure your Apple device is connected to a WiFi or 3G network.
Focus on WiFi icon
Next, open the Safari browser on your device, and go to the Lotus Notes Traveler user home page URL provided to you by your system administrator.
Open the Safari browser, and select the Lotus Notes Traveler bookmark. The Lotus Notes Traveler Home page displays.
The user status section at the top of the home page shows your status as well as the status of your device.

Highlight the profile for the Lotus Notes Traveler account.
Allow some time to pass for the initial synchronization with the server to complete before opening your mail's Inbox. Opening the mailbox too soon can prolong the initial synchronization.
Once synchronization is complete, mail, calendars, and contacts will begin to appear in the appropriate applications on your device.
Note that Lotus Notes Traveler does not install a client on your Apple device. Instead, the built-in mail, calendar, and contacts apps are synchronized with your Notes mail file.
Synchronized mail, for example, appears in your device's Mail application. Opening it reveals a new Inbox labeled with the mail address associated with your Lotus Notes account.
You can send new messages, as well as reply to or forward messages you receive.
Open Mail application. Open Inbox and select a message to view.
Reply to an existing message
When forwarding a message containing an attachment, you can select whether or not you want to include the attachment in the forwarded message.

Don't include the attachment.
When composing a new mail message, you can select recipients' names from your contacts list.

Meetings and appointments from your Lotus Notes Calendar are also automatically added to your Apple device.
