Re: Exporting Data from a Notes Database(.nsf File) by Leveraging NotesSQL

I'm trying to persuade the corp. IS dept. where I work to install the ODBC driver for Lotus Notes. We're using Lotus 8.5 and Windows 7. Here is a quote from the IS dept. justifying their opposition to installing this driver: "attempts to INSERT data into IDS through an ODBC connection, it will corrupt the database and break the application. If Bill attempts to extract data from IDS using an ODBC connection, the data will contain duplicate rows, missing rows and most likely garbage data." IDS is the name of the Lotus database that we wish to access. We only need the drive for read access.

Can anyone help me out here? Can you point me to some reference or would anyone volunteer to be a reference to counter these (I hope false) claims.

Thanks in advance.
