Installation Notes

The system requirements and steps for upgrading to Lotus Traveler 8.5.2.4 HF 1 from an existing Lotus Traveler 8.5.2.x system are the same as for any Lotus Traveler 8.5.2.x release.

1. Shut down both Domino and Lotus Notes Traveler.
2. Upgrade the Lotus Notes Traveler server by running the executable you have downloaded from Fix Central.
3. Start the Domino server, and Lotus Notes Traveler starts automatically.

Note, only an upgrade package is available for Lotus Traveler 8.5.2.4 HF 1. In order to install you must currently be running a Lotus Traveler 8.5.2.x release.

Please review the 8.5.2 Product Documentation links below prior to installation if you are upgrading from a version earlier than Lotus Traveler 8.5.2.

Important
When upgrading to 8.5.2.4 HF1, the defrag function may run automatically during the first start of the Lotus Traveler server. This will happen any time the database schema is updated as a result of the upgrade. The server will start normally once the defragmentation is completed. Depending on database size and system capabilities, the defragmentation may take longer than 30 minutes. Please plan this time into any scheduled maintenance window for upgrade. It is recommended to manually run the database defrag approximately once a month for enhanced performance.
