There are times when a Domino Administrator needs to send a command to multiple servers at the same time. There is an easy, if not obvious way to do this. Let's look at how you can send a command to stop the Schedule Manager task (sched) on all the servers in a cluster.
Using your Domino Administrator Client, open the Console on any server in the cluster you're working with.
In the Domino Command window at the bottom of that page, enter the command you want to send. You will not see the option to select servers unless something is typed into this field.
Once you've typed your command, press the arrow beside the word "Send" and you'll get the options shown below. Choose "Select Servers to get the next dialog box.
In this dialog, you can choose to add the servers you want. You can also create groups to use later, like "Cluster A" or "All Mail Servers" or anything else that makes sense to you. There are instructions in the dialog box itself too!. If you send several commands during the same session, the list of servers will be saved here temporarily.
Then press the Send button. That's it. The console will tell you that the command has been executed on the remote server, and will summarize what it did. You can send commands to any group of servers, not just clustered ones. This technique will be valuable to you if you're not already using it.
