Why does the Help in Notes/Domino 8.5.2 still say 8.5.1?

How to find the documentation for Lotus Domino release 8.5.2

When you install the 8.5.2 release of Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino Administrator, or Lotus Domino Designer, and open the Help database (NSF) or other included Help for the first time, you'll probably notice that the title still says 8.5.1 and that the help is the same as you had in the previous release.

This is not a mistake. For this release, IBM made a decision not to update the full Help content either in the local NSF or in the Information center because of the small number of new features.

However, there is documentation on all changes and improvements in 8.5.2. Here's how to find it.

Visit the Notes and Domino information center (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/index.jsp):

For Lotus Notes, see this topic:

For Lotus Domino Administrator (including Lotus iNotes administration), see this topic:

For Lotus Domino Designer, the included Help formerly called "Lotus Domino Designer XPages User Guide" has been updated for 8.5.2 and renamed as "Lotus Domino Designer User Guide." See this topic for more information on 8.5.2:

Improvements to this guide include new reference sections for XPages controls and their properties (300+ topics) as well as the "What's New in Domino Designer 8.5.2" topic to further point out the changes made for this release. These new topics for 8.5.2 are also posted in multiple languages, as is the rest of the content of the updated plugin. The rest of the Designer plugins were, however, not updated, and contain 8.5.1 information .

In addition, we've kept track of problems found in the content ever since 8.5.1 shipped. If you have a problem with a procedure or explanation, it's worth checking the following technical note to see whether we know about it and have addressed it. Many of these corrections occurred because you clicked the Feedback link in a Help topic and let us know about a problem you found. All of these corrections will be rolled up into a new, reorganized, and streamlined version of the documentation in an upcoming release.
