iNotes ultra-light mode is the new HTML only web mail client that is also accessibility compatible within the iNotes Product (formerly Domino® Web Access). It joins full and lite as the third mode of iNotes. The iNotes ultra-light mode is supported on the Apple iPhone® as a web application via iPhone's native browser Safari® and on the Mozilla Firefox desktop browser on Windows starting with iNotes version 8.5.
What version of Domino supports iNotes this mode
iNotes ultra-light mode is available via the iPhone® browser starting with Domino Server 8.0.2 Since it is a web application, there is no configuration or installation required for the device.
Does this mode run as a native application on the iPhone
No, iNotes ultra-light mode on the iPhone is a web application. It runs through the iPhone’s native browser, Safari. This means that there is no offline support via Domino Offline Services or other services, nor the ability to synchronize data to the device itself. In fact, iNotes ultra-light mode stores no user data on the device with the single optional exception below. There is also no need to install anything from the iTunes® Music Store.
Can you save your username and password on this mode
iNotes ultra-light mode can optionally save your username on the device in a cookie. This feature can be disabled by the administrator. With Version 3 of the iPhone firmware usernames and passwords can be remembered via the native Safari browser, this is not recommended since this is not secure.
