The Domino mail server by default checks every connected user once per
minute for new mail and then notifies those users that
have new mail. Other status, like
refreshed views, use this same notification method. The IOCP_Async_Notification_Poll_Time
setting in NOTES.INI determines how frequently this check is performed.
Setting this parameter to greater than 60 (seconds) will reduce demands
on the CPU and potentially improve server performance.
Having this setting absent or set to less than 600 (10 minutes) can result
in unnecessary server activity resulting in reduced performance.
This function should not be confused with client polling for new mail,
which is set in the User Preferences of the Notes client.
When this setting is absent, it is equivalent to setting the option to
60 (i.e. 60 seconds).
Set IOCP_Async_Notification_Poll_Time to 600 or higher.
