NLCACHE_VERSION

expanded Abstract
collapsed Abstract
No abstract provided.
Explanation:
Many performance enhancements have been made to NameLookup to avoid the appearance of a hang when trying to do name lookups while views are being updated. To take advantage of these enhancements, the NameLookup Cache Version must be updated.

Default:
The default for this setting is NLCACHE_VERSION=2.

Recommendation:
Set NLCACHE_VERSION=4 in the server's notes.ini.

Restrictions:
This setting applies to Domino 7.0.3 and later.

Restarts:
The Domino server must be restarted after modifying this setting.

References:
NameLookup performance fixes that address unnecessary updates

Domino Configuration Tuner:

This setting is included in the DCT catalog of best practices.
