You can set the Notes default browser and group tab settings by setting the plugin_customization.ini file preference "com.ibm.rcp.ui/WINDOW_NAVIGATION_PREFERENCE" to NEW_TAB, NEW_WINDOW, or GROUPED_TAB before or after Notes install.
