If something goes wrong during your IBM(R) Lotus(R) iNotes (TM) session, you can capture the error information and provide it to your administrator. Information that displays in the support consoles can help developers investigate the problem. There are two ways to view error information:
Status bar notification - If an error message displays in the status bar, you can view the console for information by clicking on Show Console
. In rare instances in which the text length of an error message obscures Show Console
, use the method below to view the console.
If an error message is not displaying in the status bar, but you want to investigate a suspected issue, you can always view console information by holding the Ctrl key
while clicking the IBM Lotus iNotes logo or the status bar itself (Note: clicking the IBM Lotus iNotes logo without holding the Ctrl key
displays the About dialog)
Detailed configuration and error information is displayed in the Detail section. Please send this log when reporting errors. Click on Detail
(to highlight the entire log) and then right click on the text and copy it or you can select using mouse as you would other web content.
