You can set a preference to open Notes documents in single tabs, grouped tabs, or in their own windows.

1.1The Window Management preference setting allows you to define how documents will be opened in your Notes client. For example, you can open each document in its own window, or in its own tab. You can also choose to group documents from each application on a single tab.IBM social business animation displays with video title.

1.2From the Notes client menu bar, choose File -> PreferencesScreen displays a Notes teamroom application, containing several documents. Click File -> Preferences.
1.3Click the Windows and Themes preference.Click Windows and Themes.
1.4Under Window Management, choose how you want to open documents in Notes. For this example, we’ll choose Group documents from each application on a tab. Click OK to save the change.Select the Group documents from each application on a tab option. Click OK.
1.5Now, when you open several documents from a Notes application, they all appear on a single tab.From the Teamroom, open 2 or 3 documents.
1.6Use the tab drop-down arrow to select which document you want to work with.Click the tab drop-down, show the multiple documents available, and select one.
1.7When you’ve finished with a document, select the red X icon in the far corner of the Tab bar to close the document.Click the X icon.
