In the event that you encounter a problem using Lotus Notes Traveler on your Android device and you are unable to resolve the problem on your own, you can enable logging, reproduce and record the problem, and submit your troubleshooting logs to the System Administrator.
Using the Android, the user encounters a problem, resulting in an error message
If you encounter a problem you cannot resolve on your Android device, the first step is to enable logging to record the problem. You'll find this option under the Settings menu in the Lotus Notes Traveler program.
Select Menu > Settings > Logging > Enable Logging
You can view the information collected in the log file under the Tools menu in the Lotus Notes Traveler program.
Select Menu > Tools > View Log.
With logging now enabled, attempt to reproduce the problem. To help your System Administrator resolve your issue, it is important to demonstrate the problem with logging turned on.
Reproduce the problem, generating the same error message
Once you have reproduced and logged the issue, submit a report using the problem report tool in the Lotus Notes Traveler program. Select the problem type, and enter any information you think will be helpful for the administrator to know, such as what you were doing when the error occurred.
Select Menu > Tools > Report Problem.
Touch Select problem type to select from a list of typical problem types, type in a description, and touch Report.
The device collects the logs and sends them to the server. Logs are typically stored in the traveler/logs/tprs folder.
The Android collects the logs and transmits them.
If the problem is connectivity-related, the log files may not be sent to the server. In this case, you will want to export the problem report to a zip file. The report is placed on the SD card of your Android device.
Select Menu > Tools > Report Problem > Export; the Android places the logs on the SD card.
