Why does this Sign In page keep reappearing after I enter my user name and password?
Our sign-in system requires a file called a "cookie" to be set. If your browser is set to reject cookies, your sign in cannot proceed and the Sign In page will reappear.
In Internet Explorer, you can manage your cookies by selecting Tools - Internet Options and then using the options on the Security tab. In Netscape/Mozilla, you can manage your cookies by selecting Tools - Cookie Manager. For managing cookies in other browsers, see your browser's help documentation.
How can I set my browser to remember my user name and password?
In Internet Explorer, you can use the AutoComplete feature to store your user name and password. With this feature enabled, a dialog box should appear when you click the Sign In button, asking if you want Windows to remember your password. To enable AutoComplete, choose Tools - Internet Options and click the Content tab. On the Content tab, click the AutoComplete button and ensure the both the "User names and passwords on forms" and "Prompt me to save passwords" fields are selected.
In Netscape/Mozilla, the Password Manager should automatically prompt you to save your logon. If necessary, you can use the Password Manager (select Tools - Password Manager) to manage your password for this site.
What if I continue to have problems signing in?
Submit a Web site feedback form to give us specific details on what page you're trying to sign in to and what browser and version you're using.
What if I have forgotten my user name, password, or both?
If you have forgotten either your user name or password, you can use our Forgotten User Name or Forgotten Password forms to retrieve them. If you are not registered on the site, use our New Registration form to obtain a user name and password. If you experience a problem with your developerWorks: Lotus registration, you can email us using our feedback form.
Tip: If you have forgotten both your user name and password, you can retrieve them without registering again if you know the email address that you registered. Follow these steps:
- Go to the Forgotten User Name form to request your user name. You must enter the email address that you registered when you created your account.
- After you receive your user name, go to the Forgotten Password form to request a new password.
- After you receive a new password, go to the Registration page to change your password. Click the Update your registration link.
