Controlling access to the administration interface
All access to IBM Notes
Traveler administration data is controlled using the Domino
database access control list (ACL) on the IBM Notes
Traveler administration database (LotusTraveler.nsf).
You can administer IBM Notes
Traveler from a web browser. Web-based administration is available in both standalone server configurations as well as in HA pool configurations.
Domino admin client administration
For IBM Notes
Traveler servers that are not configured for High Availability, it is possible to use the Domino
administrator client to view mobile device data and issue administrative commands to the IBM Notes
Viewing user and device information
The following information describes the content of each of the four views in the IBM Notes
Traveler server administration interface that contain information about users and devices. These views are available both in the web based administration interface and in the Domino
administration client interface.
Viewing and managing IBM Notes Traveler client packages
The client manager is a subsystem that manages IBM Notes
Traveler clients that are available for download using the IBM Notes
Traveler server. This feature is available in either the stand-alone IBM Notes
Traveler server scenario or in a high availability configuration using a remote database.
Administering a server pool
When IBM Notes
Traveler is configured for High Availability and is using an enterprise database, you must use the web based administration client to perform IBM Notes
Traveler specific administration tasks, such as viewing devices and changing device settings.
