Starting with IBM® Lotus Notes® Traveler 8.5.2, you can now install the Lotus Notes Traveler client for Windows® Mobile and Nokia devices using an application called the Lotus® mobile installer (LMI).
You can download LMI to your device from the Lotus Notes Traveler user home page. When launched, the installer asks for the server name of the Lotus Notes Traveler server and the credentials used to connect to the server. It then downloads and installs the latest version of the Lotus Notes Traveler client that is compatible with your Lotus Notes Traveler server and device.
Following installation, LMI detects updated versions of either the LMI application or the Lotus Notes Traveler client. If an update is found, the application asks if you want to apply the update. If you answer yes, it automatically installs. Installations can also be postponed to a later time. You can set functions for LMI, such as automatic downloads and data roaming, in the installer application.
For more information about the exact steps used to install the Lotus Notes Traveler clients, see the following:
This application does not apply to Apple devices, as there is no Lotus Notes Traveler client for Apple.
