Hi,
Just started with Domino designer, I'm using Notes and Designer version 8. While on the Designer client I'm trying to connect to an oracle database using the Data Connection Resource (DCR).
I've used the ndctest.exe to check the oracle connection and the test passed successfully.
When I setup the new data connection, and enter the username pasword and host string, and attempt to "Browse Metadata", I get the error "Cannot browse metadata because DECS is not running on this server".
I was under the impression that DCR was an alternative to DECS?
The server I'm developing this database on is located in another country, do I have to activate DECS on it in order to make the DCR connection?
