LEI LEI - 3.1 iSeries

Hello everyone,

I have a serious problem with an LEI 3.1 installation on an iSeries running with Domino R5 on the same machine.

About once or twice a week, something goes wrong with LEI which shuts down all other jobs under the QNOTES subsystem apart from LEI itself. The LEI jobs hang and cannot be shut down from the domcsl, meaning the entire iSeries has to be brought down and rebooted - this takes 25 minutes and is causing considerable distress as it is a stratgeic system for my employer.

There is nothing untoward in either log.nsf or the LEI logs. However, I found the following information looking at the iSeries logs which may shed some light on what is happening:

LE_Create_Thread2_FP12crtth_parm_t 1092 QLECRTTH QLESPI ^438673
ThreadWrapper 8 THREAD LIBNOTES
Scheduler 32 SCHED SERVER
DbServer 224 DBSERVER
ServerDbStampNotes 67 SVSTAMP
NSFDbStampNotes 10 NSFSEM2 LIBNOTES
iNSFDbStampNotes 7 WRAP3
DbStampNotes 48 DBSTAMP

I guess there won't be a RIP file generated - is there anything else I can check?

LEI has been generally unstable for a while now, replication activities look like they are running, but nothing happens, no log entries etc, although other activities seem to be running fine.

I am considering either upgrading LEI on this server to a later version, or removing it altogether, and installing it on a seperate win2k box - after all windows can be rebooted within minutes unlike the iSeries. For the record, until Domino / LEI was installed on this machine it had been up for a year without needing a reboot.

Thanks for any help

Marc
