Inside Mobile Design and User Experience

Thoughts on mobile and social business applications, design, and user experience, by Chris Reckling.

Lots of people are live blogging at Lotusphere, so I thought that I would provide my unique perspective on the event. Right now, I'm back stage watching the show backwards and stressing about everything going okay.

On our arrival in Orlando, we had to wait to get into our "demo suite". Once we did, we unpacked and set up all the servers and our own private network so we could run thru the demos and run the speaker scripts in the room, complete with teleprompter. Believe me, it is not as easy as it looks. The show must be tightly timed so that we can get people in and out in time, especially now that we have 2 shows today.

Here were are in the suite with Ron doing the demo and everyone "helping" him get the time down. :)

After 2 days in the suite, on Friday we packed it all up again to move to the main Dolphin N. Hemisphere.

Watching the Pats on TV backstage. Unfortunately for me, rehearsal was the same time as the game(s).

Here we are giving Ron some more helpful advice. How many people does it take to do a demo?

Ah...emergence - I like this graphic.

More pics and screenshots to come....the first OGS is ending....time to turn it over for the next group.

Enjoy!!
