Feel free to give me a call as it's been a while. Its not possible. I know you are using Oracle but in DB2 the DESCRIPTION column in SNCOMM.COMMUNITY is set to a max of 2048 characters.
As you know adding an image or text in bold will add formatting to the number of characters. The only thing I could think of is some fancy Javascript that might some how work around this problem but it's outside of my knowledge.
I might as the question in one of the Connections 4 beta calls see if this column limit will increase in the later version.
