To find the code that you want to change, you usually start by locating an installed source application file inside a web archive (WAR) file. The application WAR file subdirectories contain the customizable files.

The default location for the source application files directory for each application is: <WAS_home>\profiles\<profile_name>\installedApps\<cell_name>\<application_name.ear>\<application_name.war>
where:
  • <WAS_home> is the directory to which you installed IBM WebSphere Application Server
  • <profile_name> is the profile to which you installed one of the IBM Connections applications
  • <cell_name> is the cell to which you installed the application
  • <application_name.ear> is the EAR file name for the application
  • <application_name.war> is one of the following application WAR files names:

Application WAR file names:

This example directory path contains the Activities application WAR file: C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\lc30Cell01\activities.ear\oawebui.war.
