Re: Configuring MobileIron

@Jaro and Urs, seeing only *some* content is unexpected for sure. If I understand correctly you are seeing Wikis, can do some searching, but cannot access other Connections services. Can you open a PMR and share a Connections app log file from the device so we can take a closer look (under My Account->Help & Support->Report a Problem for the iOS flavor. Yes, you can use the same cert that you would use with other AppConnect enabled apps when you create the AppConnect configuration for the Connections app. No ports to consider here app configuration wise.

Re: Configuring MobileIron

The same behavior here - I see only the Wiki pages, all other content is not loaded. The message "unable to connect" is always visible in a red bar on the top. However, the user could login with userid and password. Is there any other connection needed besides the one to the IBM Connections Server..?

Re: Configuring MobileIron

What I meant was that I did configure App Tunneling on our Sentry with Pass Through Server Authentication. I did use a certificate that we normally use for other AppConnect apps but I am not getting all content in the app. I can only see Wikis and use search to some extend. We are not using certificate authentication as our Connections server is not part of our users domain but rather enter credentials in the app manually.

Is that supported authentication still with MobileIron Sentry AppConnect integration or I do have to use a user's certificate. Also what other ports beside TCP 80 and 443 do I need?

Re: Configuring MobileIron

@Sven, the certificate you use in the AppConnect configuration is typically the same as other apps that you have established an AppConnect configuration for.

Independent of MobileIron AppTunnel, the Connections app does support two factor auth with P12s. But being a native app you have to import it directly rather than have the MDM push it as you would for a web app. The two factor documentation is here - http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/lcwiki.nsf/xpDocViewer.xsp?lookupName=IBM+Connections+4.5+Documentation#action=openDocument&res_title=Configuring_access_with_client_certificates_ic45&content=pdcontent

Re: Configuring MobileIron

@Jaro there is no passthru of the credentials into Connections. The Sentry is only providing reachability to the Connections server here. The rest is handled natively within the app.

The app-specific configuration keys for Traveler Companion are described in the articles at the following link in the IBM Notes and Domino wiki:

Re: Configuring MobileIron

Hey Edward, nice to see that the fuction is implemented! But I became no connection to server. The error is: "The server ....connection... required a client certificate"

With Mobileiron's Web@Work I became an connection to Connections.

In the AppConnect Configuration I have selected the same identification certificate than the Web@Work configuration?!?

Can the Connections App establish an AppTunnel with selfsign certifates? And when came the app-specifc configuration key-values? I think it is very importent for usability of working with Connections on mobile Device!

Thanks!

Re: Configuring MobileIron

Is this configuration specific to Kerberos authentication or it can also be configured in Pass-Through mode and user's credentials will be supplied directly in the App.

Re: Configuring MobileIron

No, there are no app-specific configuration key-value pairs needed for Connections Mobile. There is no Sametime MobileIron integration support at this time.

Re: Configuring MobileIron

Are there any app-specific configuration keys, like eg. for Traveler Companion or Sametime?
