Files CMIS API
Abstract
Abstract
The Files CMIS API exposes Files application data using the Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) standard.
The Files CMIS API exposes Files application data using the Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) standard.
Detailed documentation for the CMIS standard can be found at the
Oasis CMIS web site
.
RESTful Atompub Binding
This binding is based upon the Atom (RFC4287) and Atom Publishing Protocol (RFC5023). In this binding, clients interact with the repository by first acquiring its service document. Clients choose a CMIS collection, and access the repository by following the references in the returned documents.
CMIS extends the Atom and AtomPub documents utilizing the Atom and AtomPub extension mechanism. CMIS also defines link tags to specify additional resources related to the requested resource. Where specified, the Files CMIS API provides CMIS extensions to expose application function.
Retrieving the Files CMIS API service document
To update resources made available through the Atom APIs, you must retrieve the service document for the application.
Files CMIS API extensions
IBM Lotus Connections publishes a series of additive extensions to the CMIS standard to expose the Files application through the CMIS APIs.
Files CMIS API features
The Files API introduces a set of feature extensions to the standard CMIS domain model to support additional use cases for social file sharing.
Files CMIS object types
These are the CMIS object types that can show in repositories exposed in the Files CMIS API.
